Five January transfer window targets for Wrexham AFC
The January transfer window is officially open for business and with another promotion in the balance it promises to be a busy one for Wrexham.
After 25 League One matches, Phil Parkinson’s men remain in the hunt for an automatic promotion, currently sat in third on 51 points, below Wycombe Wanderers in second and league leaders Birmingham City.
Parkinson’s team have had issues creating chances and finding a reliable source of goals, as well as losing No 2 goalkeeper Callum Burton to a suspected season-ending injury which opens up spaces to be filled this month.
Here are FIVE players they should consider adding to the squad in the January transfer window.

Thimothee Lo-Tutala (Hull City)
Arthur Okonkwo has returned to the side after recovering from a wrist issue but the absence of Callum Burton for the remainder of this season leaves a void in the goalkeeping department.
Mark Howard hasn’t been poor when called upon, but there is a feeling that Wrexham need an extra body in this month should Okonkwo find himself on the sidelines again during this race to the finish.
Thimothee Lo-Tutala, who was pictured at Wrexham earlier this season in the club’s bid to get him in as emergency cover, has terrific reflexes and shot-stopping ability.
He found himself on the bench for Hull City in their 3-3 draw with Leeds United at the weekend and he could benefit in the short-term for a loan, given he’s committed to the Tigers until 2028.
The drawback is that TLT will be seeking first team minutes and with Okonkwo back in the fold as the undisputed No 1, a more orthodox No 2 goalkeeper may be a better fit.
Tom Bradshaw (Millwall FC)
Tom Bradshaw has been extensively linked with Wrexham, and Millwall has a history of gifting Wrexham some top-end talent having sent George Evans to Wrexham in the not too distant past.
The 32-year-old striker has bags of experience and possesses the ability to be a prolific goalscorer at all levels, netting 17 in the Championship in 2022-23 and achieving that feat twice at Walsall in League One.
Wrexham are crying out for a big man-type finisher to ease the load on Ollie Palmer and in terms of profile of player, Bradshaw fits the bill.
Will Lankshear (Tottenham Hotspur)
At 19 years old, Lankshear’s a regular Tottenham Hotspur matchday squad member, making him a longshot to join the Red Dragons this month.
That said, the teenager would benefit immensely from a loan move to a team pushing for promotion and who will be playing in big games in order to build up his experience.
He needs more reps in top matches as a main man, and he won’t get that in front of the likes of Dominic Solanke or Son Heung-min at Tottenham right now.
Will be inundated with options in the Championship if Tottenham gave the green light to a loan.
Patrick Bamford (Leeds United)
A once prolific goalscorer, Bamford has fallen out of favour with Leeds United.
Like Bradshaw, he’s performed countless times in lower leagues, netting double-digits for goals in League One at MK Dons (14) and scoring 17 in the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa for Leeds (2020-21)
He’s still only 31, and a change of scenery may do him some good while re-invigorating his form in the attacking third.
Nathan Lowe (Walsall, on loan from Stoke City)
At the moment, Nathan Lowe is tearing it up in League Two, with 14 goals for Walsall, who lead the league by 10 points.
Lowe is on loan from Stoke City and may want to take a big step up in his career and help Wrexham get to the Championship.
He’s eager, has a nose for the goal and has terrific movement and maturity for his age, with so much confidence, while he appears to be ready to take a leap higher up the EFL pyramid.
Won’t be short of offers if Stoke City decide to recall him and test him in League One as they look to increase his value.
